National Simultaneous Storytime 2015
We enjoy stories…there’s no quibbling about that!
Listening to a special story is always a wonderful experience.
Thousands of children across our nation read the same book at the same time as part National Simultaneous Storytime (NSS).
Popular author and illustrator, Aaron Blabey was selected with his book The Brothers Quibble. It’s an amusing tale of sibling rivalry and love which captivates the reader.
At Woodend, our student library committee takes on NSS as a special project. We worked with year 1, 2 and 3 classes.
After listening to The Brothers Quibble, our students wrote about and created paper models of the Quibble brother they loved.
I love the library
That’s wonderful to hear, Lachlan. There are always lots of interesting things happening.
Hope the grrs don’t come.
We have had a couple of drink bottle grrs visit recently. That was sad.
The ripping grrs are always trying to get to our books but our respectful students are keeping them away.
I read books.
That’s great. Do you have a favourite author, Cailin?
Books are amazing .
I agree with you on that!
Today room 21 had lots of fun at library.
I am so happy to hear that, Lachlan. Are you curious about that big, white “work in progress”? I wonder if it will have changed before your next visit?
Today room 21 had lots of fun borrowing.
Wow! Yeah the library is lots of fun! What made that borrowing session more fun than the others you’ve had Lachlan.
